Thank-you both so much for your hospitality. Hugh and I both thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Gardener’s Cottage. Hugh commented that the bed is better than the one we have at home and we both slept well, possibly due to the lack of noise and light.
The work that you have done to the cottage, the well appointed, comfortable features, the stained glass, the colour scheme; everything just works and is testament to your good taste. We loved the garden, especially having a platypus experience, but just the bird and wildlife, so abundant and varied.
One of the things that made the visit so special, was your accommodation to our astronomy needs. From the initial phone call to establish that it would be ok for us to bring our telescopes, to allowing us to set up for over a week on your lawn, to making suggestions about composition for my Milky Way photos, nothing was too much trouble and I hope that future astronomers to Tasmania will take advantage of your wonderful, clear skies.
I have included a selection of images for you to use, as you like (or not). I will also be doing a write up about your place in an International Astronomy e-magazine and I will send you a link to any published content mentioning you.
We wish you well with your future plans for the property and we hope that we will be visiting again over the next few years.
